Workshop Descriptions
12:00-1:15 - Circular and Linear Phrases
Exciting dances can be created by combining circular and linear elements. Learn how to transition between these two forms and bring creativity to your dance and to your partners. (All levels)
1:45-3:00 - Moving with the Melody
Mastering rhythm is fundamental to tango, but it’s only half the story. Melody and rhythm combine to make great dances. In this workshop we emphasize dancing to the melody and learn a phrase of tango steps to show how both partners can shine through melody. (Intermediate level)
3:15-4:30 Hip Power - Techniques for Connection
Using our hips for power can bring the energy of our feet into the connection of the embrace. In this workshop we will work together on a simple phrase that helps us learn this important technique. (Intermediate level)
